What or who is DIRECTOR38?
DIRECTOR38 is a username I came up with over a decade ago. 38 comes from my birthday (hint: it's NOT August 3) and has become my adopted lucky number (as well as the individual digits 3 and 8.) I chose "director" because I was studying theatre and thought I would make a career out of directing.
Even though I have not worked in stage or film for several years, I still see myself as a director. Art is all around us, even in the business world. There is an art to keeping a company afloat, just as there is an art to running your household. The director in me knows when to dictate and when to advise, and most importantly when to keep quiet.
I am building the DIRECTOR38 family of websites to teach, to advise, and in general to provide direction where it is needed. Or hopefully at the very least where it is wanted.

You may also see the variations "HerrDirector" which is a reference to Salieri in "Amadeus," and "HerrDirector2003" because I used to believe I would be an Academy Award nominated director by 2003. I guess not...
